Stryder Media compiled a DVD of mine and Bob's life together, with Pictures and music, which I find so comforting when the pain of losing him is too much to bear. Starting with our courting days, it captures all the special events and times we shared throughout our married life. I call it my Life DVD and for the few minutes I take to watch it, Bob is here with me again. I will continue to add all the other times which I will enjoy and pass all these wonderful memories to children, grandchildren and onto their children.

HISTORY OF NETHERTON The earliest record of a settlement at Netherton is in 1296. A series of documents and surveys record details of the population from the 13th century onwards. No trace of the village can be seen today, but it probably lay in the same position as the present village, on the banks of the Netherton Burn.
Northumberland with 2 small towns and many small villages, steeped in history and carrying on the crafts and traditions of centuries gone by. Hills, streams and rivers, Forests and woods, abundant with wildlife. Some of the best Fishing is to be found in Northumberland and a walker or cyclist's dream.
Northumberland's history is ancient and Hadrian's Wall and Forts still stand in their defence. Many Roman sites remain as does the evidence of their Occupation.
Rothbury Golf Club now with a new Club House and a 18 hole course.
