Our Guest House nestles in a scenic valley, overlooked by the Simonside Hills, only a short drive from Rothbury and 20 minutes from Alnwick, right in the heart of Northumberland, surrounded by meadows, woods and streams Here you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our beautiful countryside. Close by is the Northumberland National Park.
Ever seen the magnificence of a star filled sky and the wonder of the Milky Way, we have nothing to pollute these skies and can enjoy this awesome scene.
Here the welcome is warm and friendly and we hope that it will soon feel just like home.
The local village of Netherton is but a str0ll away, home to the award winning Star Inn, famous for the quality of its' traditional ale and Netherton Folk Club,
We can honestly say that none of our Guests' have been disappointed, in fact, the opposite, delighted with the house, rooms, facilities and the area.

HISTORY OF NETHERTON The earliest record of a settlement at Netherton is in 1296. A series of documents and surveys record details of the population from the 13th century onwards. No trace of the village can be seen today, but it probably lay in the same position as the present village, on the banks of the Netherton Burn.
Northumberland with 2 small towns and many small villages, steeped in history and carrying on the crafts and traditions of centuries gone by. Hills, streams and rivers, Forests and woods, abundant with wildlife. Some of the best Fishing is to be found in Northumberland and it is a walker or cyclist's dream.
Northumberland's history is ancient and Hadrian's Wall and Forts still stand in their defence. Many Roman sites remain as does the evidence of their Occupation.
Rothbury Golf Club now with a new Club House and a 18 hole course.
